If you own a home with a basement, you know that the basement tend to collect water and moisture. In fact, basement flooding is a fairly common occurence for many homes in the Metro Atlanta area.
It is important to understand the hazards associated with a moist or flooded basement.
Typically the part of the house with the least amount of traffic, the basement can have water and moisture that can go unnoticed much longer than if in a flooded bathroom or kitchen.
Any extended period of dampness is the perfect condition for mold growth. In order to prevent a mold disaster, basement flood water should be extracted as quickly as possible.
